原作『氷と炎の歌』とは？

1996年に第1部：『七王国の玉座』が発表されて以来、現在も続刊中。中世イギリスや薔薇戦争をモチーフにした架空戦記で、多彩な登場人物の視点から進行する人間群像劇でもある。
